Mobile computing is a generic term describing one's ability to use technology while moving, as opposed to portable computers, which are only practical for use while deployed in a stationary configuration.
Why do I need it
You would benefit from it if you are on the move and need to access a company’s intranet, email, documents etc. You generally find that people who travel large amounts on trains, etc find this type of out of office working very valuable as they can work whilst travelling between destinations.
